Despico Food Distribution Program

Hunger can strike any of us at any time. However, there is a group that is most vulnerable to not receiving adequate food; the elderly. Sometimes they are left with the decision of food or medication. Our food distribution program helps to ease that decision by providing food to the very doorstep of Hampton Roads Seniors, who cannot come to one of our surrounding agency locations to pick up their food.

Despico Food Distribution program is a partner agency with local Food Bank of Southeastern and Eastern Shores Food Rescue Program Agencies in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia. We deliver food to those who do not have transportation or have limited mobility.
We are registered agents through the food bank and follow all guidelines for the distribution of food. No funds are ever received or requested from any of our recipients. If you would like more information, contact us at the link below.
Food is a viable necessity! That need is greatly felt in single parent homes where one income provides for everything. We service homes where transportation is not available or accessible to the head of household or they may be working during the hours of operation at our agency locations. Many families express the need for food support but have no means to access what they need.
